F. Scott Hall, Ph.D., is a Professor and Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Toledo, where he leads the Hall Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. His research spans addiction, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental models.
- Education: Ph.D. in Neurobiology, University of Cambridge (1994); B.A. in Psychology, Harvard College (1987)
Research focuses on:
- Genetic contributions to addiction liability using transgenic mice
- Lethal effects of synthetic psychoactive cathinones ("bath salts")
- DAT KO mouse models for ADHD
- Neurodevelopmental impacts of social isolation
Recent work explores epigenetic mechanisms and cell adhesion molecules in addiction. Awards include:
