F. Eliza Glaze is a Professor of History at Coastal Carolina University's College of Humanities and Fine Arts, specializing in medieval Europe, Byzantium, and the history of medicine. She previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston and has held leadership roles as History Department Chair and University Honors Program co-director.

Her research focuses on medieval medical textuality, Latin palaeography, and knowledge transfer in the Mediterranean region. She co-led the 'Excavating Medicine in a Digital Age' project and is currently researching Hippocratic-Galenic traditions at Monte Cassino.
Recent publications address Constantine the African's translations, 12th-century manuscript cultures, and textual authority in medieval medicine. She collaborates across disciplines in digital humanities and manuscript studies.
