Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ezgin Yetiş is a full-time faculty member at Kastamonu University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Conservation and Restoration of Artworks, where she has also served as Head of Department since 2019. She previously held the rank of Assistant Professor (2019-2024) and, before that, Lecturer at Ondokuz Mayıs University (2012-2019).

Research Focus: Her work integrates scientific material analysis with hands-on conservation practice, concentrating on the preservation of historic wall paintings, Ottoman pencil-work and traditional Turkish decorative arts. Central themes include the study of pigments, binders and application techniques in Ottoman mosque decoration, as well as the development of ethical retouching methods for losses in painted surfaces.
Field Projects & Publications: Since 2020 she has led or participated in eight major conservation projects at archaeological sites such as Ephesus, Hadrianopolis and St. Jean Monument, authoring nineteen peer-reviewed articles that advance analytical and methodological knowledge in art conservation.
Teaching & Supervision: She currently supervises M.A. students in the Art and Design programme and has taught a wide range of courses including Basic Design, Wall Painting Conservation Research and Conservation Theory and Principles.
Artistic Outreach: Beyond research, Dr. Yetiş has curated or contributed to forty-six national and international exhibitions and workshops that promote public awareness of traditional Turkish arts and cultural heritage conservation.
