Eyal Benvenisti

Eyal Benvenisti is a Professor at Tel Aviv University's Faculty of Law, recognized for his expertise in international law and its intersection with political economy. He conducted the inaugural Masterclass in International Law at the prestigious Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg in February 2012.

His research focuses on the political economy framework for understanding interactions between international politics, international law, and international institutions. Professor Benvenisti examines analytical tools that provide deeper insights into the development of international norms and institutions, particularly exploring the dynamic relationship between international and national legal systems.

His scholarly work spans multiple specialized domains of international law including international trade law, environmental law, human rights protection, and international humanitarian law.
