Ewa Łuczak

Dr. Ewa Łuczak is a lecturer at the Faculty of Media Art and the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she is also pursuing doctoral studies at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. A multi-disciplinary artist, she works across photography, documentary filmmaking, video art, and video installation art.

Her creative practice spans from early black-and-white photographic nudes to contemporary video installations exploring space, movement, and interdisciplinary connections between visual arts and theater. She has developed a distinctive approach to multimedia installations for theatrical productions and has a strong focus on documentary filmmaking that often intersects with social themes and cultural heritage.

Dr. Łuczak's most significant works include her thesis 'Radiowe dni' (Radio Days), which was acquired by the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, and numerous video installations for theaters including 'Madama Butterfly' at Teatrgaleria and 'Grotowski non fiction' presented at multiple venues. Her film 'Wściekłość' was featured at the Venice Biennale in 2017, demonstrating the international recognition of her work.

• Winner of the 5th edition of the Young Poland program in visual arts (2008)
• Special distinction for 'Idę w stronę słońca' at the Biennale Nowych Mediów (2006)
