Evi Heinz is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's Centre for British Studies, funded by the Einstein Foundation's project “Boundaries of Cosmopolis” (2023–present). She previously served as a Research Associate in Book Studies at the English Department of the University of Münster. Her academic journey includes a PhD in English and Humanities from Birkbeck, University of London; an MSt in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford; and a BA in English Literature from the University of Cambridge.

Research Interests: Her work centers on English literary modernism, comparative literature, publishing history, and periodical print culture. She explores the cross-cultural dissemination of literary ideas, particularly through her current project examining the transmission of English literary culture in Weimar Republic-era German periodicals like Der Querschnitt. Her publications include articles, book chapters, and co-editing Whitechapel Moderns: An Anthology of Modernist Culture in London’s Jewish East End (forthcoming with Edinburgh University Press).
Advising & Grants: While no formal advisees or grants are explicitly listed, her research is supported by the Einstein Foundation. She collaborates with Prof. Stefano Evangelista (Oxford) and Prof. Gesa Stedman (HU Berlin) on her current project.
