Evgeny Buchbinder

Evgeny Buchbinder is an Associate Professor at the School of Physics, Maths and Computing, Physics Department, University of Western Australia. He joined UWA as a Future Fellow in 2012 and became a permanent staff member in 2016. Prior to this, he held research positions at the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton), Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (Waterloo), and Imperial College London. He earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and earlier degrees from Tomsk State University.

His research focuses on superstring theory, particle physics, heterotic string theory, conformal field theory, and cosmology of the early universe.
