Matthew Buican

Dr. Matthew Buican is a Reader in Theoretical Physics at Queen Mary University of London's School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, affiliated with the Centre for Fundamental Physics. His research focuses on quantum field theories, including conformal field theories (CFTs), topological quantum field theories (TQFTs), and supersymmetry. He has organized workshops on topics such as boundary CFTs and TQFTs at institutions like the Royal Society, Perimeter Institute, and Nordita. Buican holds a PhD from Princeton University and has held postdoctoral positions at CERN, Rutgers University, and the University of Chicago.
