Evgeniia Frei is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Precision Psychiatry, Oslo University Hospital, and affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo. Her research integrates psychiatric genetics with clinical applications to advance precision psychiatry.
Her primary research areas include Psychiatric Genetics, Precision Psychiatry, and Mental Health Disorders, with specific focus on polygenic liability for mood/anxiety disorders, psychotic experiences across developmental stages, and genetic associations with premenstrual disorders. She employs large-scale cohort studies and genomic analyses to investigate gene-environment interactions in mental health.
Frei's publication record reveals strong emphasis on developmental trajectories of psychiatric symptoms and genetic underpinnings of mental disorders. Key contributions include adolescent psychotic experiences in Norwegian cohorts, genetic architecture of Alzheimer's-cognition relationships, and premenstrual disorder-psychiatric disorder links. Her work consistently utilizes polygenic risk scoring and international collaborations.
She actively participates in the Precision Psychiatry research group at Oslo University Hospital, which develops genomic frameworks for personalized psychiatric diagnosis and treatment through integration of clinical data with molecular biomarkers.
