Evgenia Bourova is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Corporate Law, Melbourne Law School (The University of Melbourne). She specializes in projects addressing financial exclusion, poor insurer practices, and consumer protection. Her current work involves collaboration with Professors Ian Ramsay and Paul Ali on legal protections for vulnerable consumers. Previously, she led the Financial Hardship Project (pre-2018), analyzing legal frameworks for debt-stricken consumers.
Education: Holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Social Theory) from The University of Melbourne. Prior to joining MLS in 2014, she worked as a Research Associate at the Supreme Court of Victoria’s Court of Appeal and was admitted as a solicitor in 2016.
