Dr. Eveline M.F.W Compaore is a prominent researcher and academic affiliated with the University Joseph Ki-Zerbo and the Institut de l'Environnement et de Recherches Agricoles (INERA) in Burkina Faso. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Nottingham and leads the Socio-Economy Unit at INERA. Her roles include coordinating the Gender and Diversity Office at the African Cluster Centres (ACC) since 2021 and teaching modules on innovation and sustainable development at the University Joseph Ki-Zerbo.
Her research focuses on agricultural innovation systems, climate change adaptation, gender equity, and public policy. Notable contributions include analyzing biotechnology controversies in cotton production, seed system governance, and intersectionality in agricultural practices. She actively participates in national climate change adaptation initiatives and international projects funded by EU and German institutions.
Eveline has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and policy briefs, including works on cowpea production dynamics, millet value chains, and agro-ecological transitions. She received the AWARD laureate and Best Performance in Agricultural Research awards, recognizing her impactful contributions to development-oriented research.
