Dr. Eveline Brugger is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Vienna, with additional affiliations at the Universities of Salzburg and Klagenfurt. She holds a Habilitation in Medieval History from the University of Graz (2015) and has been a research associate at the Institute for Jewish History in Austria since 1995, serving as coordinator for the project 'Regesten on the History of the Jews in Austria in the Middle Ages' since 1999. Her career includes teaching roles at the Viennese Institute for Economic Promotion (WIFI) since 1997 and instructorship for the American Heritage Association's academic program (1999–2008).

Her research focuses on Jewish-Christian interactions, medieval economic and social history, and the aristocratic history of Austria during the Middle Ages. She specializes in historical auxiliary sciences and the analysis of primary sources, particularly those documenting Jewish life under Christian rule and intercommunal economic relations in Eastern Austria from 1338 to 1457.
Dr. Brugger's academic contributions align with institutional frameworks like the University of Vienna's Department of History, FIRST (University of Vienna's Gender Equality program), and the EHRI-AT (European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Austria). She has taught courses such as 'Jewish Life Under Christian Rule During the Middle Ages' and 'Guided Readings in Austrian and Medieval History'.
