Evelien de Hoop is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science, Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with additional affiliations at the Amsterdam Sustainability Institute and Network Institute. She holds an MPhil in Geography and the Environment (Oxford University) and a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology's Technology, Innovation and Society group.
Her research focuses on transdisciplinary approaches to sustainability, including food systems, international commodity trade (soy/palm oil), biofuels, smart urbanism, and sustainable healthcare.
