Lieselot Vandenbussche is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science within the Athena Institute and the Network Institute at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on interpersonal dynamics in collaborative governance, emphasizing relationality and situatedness in governing processes. She holds a PhD in Public Administration from Erasmus University (2020) and a Master's in Educational Studies from KU Leuven, Belgium (2003).
Her academic work examines how relational patterns among stakeholders influence governance outcomes, particularly in urban regeneration and policy-making contexts. She employs process-oriented methodologies to study 'lived experiences' of collaboration, advocating for situated, action-oriented research to drive systemic change. Current courses include 'Maternal and Child Health (Caput)' and 'Transities naar groene zorg' (Transitions to Green Care).
