Evan T. Cohen is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University with expertise in rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions, particularly multiple sclerosis (MS). He holds a PhD in Health Sciences (Trident University International, 2010), MA in Physical Therapy (Touro College, 1992), and BS in Allied Health Sciences (Touro College, 1992). As an ABPTS Neurologic Certified Specialist since 2002, his clinical practice spans acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
His research focuses on MS rehabilitation, specifically the impact of fatigue on mobility and interventions to improve gait and balance. Key areas include high-intensity interval training, blood flow restriction techniques, and assistive device efficacy. He has pioneered work on outcome measurement standardization through initiatives like the SOS MS project. Dr. Cohen has received prestigious awards for teaching, research, and service, including the Labe C. Scheinberg Award and National MS Society Healthcare Leader Award.
