Dr. Evan T Jones is an Associate Professor in Economic History at the University of Bristol, affiliated with the Department of History. His research focuses on late medieval to early modern economic and social history, particularly Bristol's exploration voyages, illicit trade in early modern England, the Severn Sea's maritime trade, and Irish overseas economic development. He leads the Cabot Project, co-authored The World of the Newport Medieval Ship, and is writing a major book on Bristol's New World expeditions with collaborator Margaret Condon.
