Evan Chancellor, D.M.A., is an Associate Professor of Instrumental Music, Director of Bands, and Chair of the Humanities & Fine Arts department at Lakeland University. He leads the Lakeland University Symphonic Band, Muskie Pride Marching Band, and oversees music education programs. His teaching spans applied horn, conducting, music history, and coursework in music education.

Research interests focus on music performance, band direction, and music education pedagogy. He actively conducts and performs with ensembles like the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, and Milwaukee Philharmonic. Chancellor also serves as director of Lakeland’s annual Music Camp and maintains affiliations with organizations such as the National Association for Music Education and International Horn Society.
Professional activities include guest conducting, clinician roles, and leadership in K-12 music programs. He has held prior faculty positions at Oklahoma Baptist University, East Central University, and others, alongside performances with groups like the Frontier Brass Band and Oklahoma Haydn Festival.
