Her work emphasizes biodiversity resilience and conservation strategies for island ecosystems.
- Education: PhD in Geography and Environmental Sciences (University of Birmingham, 2024), MSc in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources (Northwestern Centre for Biological Research, Mexico, 2016), BSc in Biology (University of Guadalajara, Mexico, 2014).
Her research interests include macroecology, biogeography, ecological modelling, functional diversity, and species distribution dynamics. She has contributed to projects such as evaluating invasive species impacts on Mexican islands and developing conservation plans for endangered species. Her recent publications focus on avian biodiversity loss, island biogeography challenges, and climate change effects on cacti.
- Grants/Consultancy: UNDP-funded projects on invasive species control (2017–2020), rabbit control in Mexican protected areas, and ecosystem restoration in Revillagigedo National Park.
