Eun Young Song is a Lecturer in Organisation Studies/Management at the Research School of Management, Australian National University. Their research examines contemporary phenomena through historical precedents using statistical analyses of longitudinal archival data, with a focus on social norms, diversity, and institutional change.

Research Interests: Song's work centers on organisation theory, institutional change, and social norms. They investigate public conformity to social norms and its consequences, such as gendered innovation adoption in historical America and political ideologies in Joseon Dynasty Korea. Methods include event history analysis, social network analysis, and historical process analysis. Their research often integrates economic sociology and examines human-animal-hybrid contexts.
Recent Research Trends: Recent publications (2023-2024) focus on gender expectations, artistic innovation, and organizational identity within historical settings. They apply mixed methods to study how social norms shape innovation and social movements, with recurring themes of gender, status, and institutional entrepreneurship.
