Eun Hee Kim is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Korean Language Program Placement Coordinator at Northwestern University. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a certificate in Second Language Acquisition and Teacher Education (SLATE). Prior to Northwestern, she taught Korean language courses at institutions including the University of Illinois, Rice University, and Michigan State University, consistently receiving accolades for her teaching excellence from students.
Her research focuses on second language learners' linguistic challenges and pedagogical tools to enhance learning. She investigates sources of misunderstanding in second language acquisition and strategies to overcome these barriers. Her work bridges theoretical linguistics and applied language education, informing educators and developers of language teaching software.
Eun Hee's publications appear in venues such as the Japanese/Korean Linguistics Conference and journals like Linguistics and Second Language Research. She actively contributes to both academic discourse and practical language teaching methodologies.
