Eugene Reynolds is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University (SHU). He holds roles in teaching Finite Math, Statistics, and other mathematics courses for diverse student populations. His professional interests include Linear Optimization, Environmental Management systems, and applying mathematical techniques to real-world problems like baseball analytics.
Education: MA in Environmental Management from Montclair State University (2006); A.M. in General Studies in Humanities from the University of Chicago (1987); BS in Mathematics with Computer Science emphasis from Seton Hall University (1982).
Research emphasizes statistical applications in sports (Sabermetrics) and environmental systems. He contributed a book chapter on baseball analytics in Sabermetrics: Baseball, Steroids, and How the Game Has Changed Over the Past Two Generations (Elsevier, 2021). Courses taught include Finite Math, Calculus, and Statistics for social/physical sciences.
