Eugene Benilov is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He is a member of the Centre for Research Training in Foundations of Data Science and the Mathematics Applications Consortium for Science and Industry (MACSI). With a PhD in Oceanology from the P.P. Shirshov Institute (Moscow) and an MSc/BSc from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, his career spans institutions including the University of Warwick, University of Tasmania, and University of New South Wales.
Research Interests: Benilov specializes in fluid dynamics, focusing on phase transitions, evaporation, kinetic theory, liquid films, jets, geophysical vortices, and magnetized plasmas. His work extends to nonlinear waves and integrable systems.
