Dr. Eugen Pfister is a researcher at Bern University of the Arts, specializing in Game Studies and Cultural Studies. He currently serves as the project lead for the SNF-Sinergia research project "Confederatio Ludens: Swiss History of Games, Play and Game Design 1968-2000." Previously, he led the SNF-Sinergia project "Horror - Game - Politics" at Hochschule der Künste Bern from 2018 to 2021.

- Graduate of History and Political Sciences from the University of Vienna and Université Paris IV – Sorbonne
His research focuses on the intersection of games, history, and political communication, with a particular emphasis on the Swiss context. He has lectured at multiple institutions, including the University of Vienna and Université de Fribourg, and operates a research blog titled "Spiel-Kultur-Wissenschaft. Mythen im Digitalen Spiel" covering cultural studies and video games.
