Etienne Wasmer is a Professor of Economics at New York University Abu Dhabi and an affiliated researcher at the Department of Economics and the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP) at Sciences Po, Paris. He holds concurrent roles as a CEPR Research Fellow and IZA Research Fellow. His work spans Labour Economics, Urban Economics, and Macroeconomics, with a focus on policy evaluation and public finance. Key roles include co-directing LIEPP (2011-2017) and advising the French government on labor market policies, including the Bozio-Wasmer Mission on social security exemptions.
