معرفی
Ethan J Anderson is a Professor at the University of Iowa with dual appointments in the College of Pharmacy and Carver College of Medicine. He is affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics.
His educational background includes:
- PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology from Yale University
- BS in Genetics, Cell Biology and Development from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (2001)
Dr. Anderson's research program centers on translational pharmacology with mitochondria as the focal point. His three major research thrusts investigate: (1) monoamine-nutrient metabolism crosstalk in cardiac tissue; (2) reactive aldehydes in diabetes/aging-related cardiac remodeling; and (3) metabolic/anti-inflammatory mechanisms of Prohibitins-1,2. His lab employs methodologies spanning in vitro biochemistry, cell culture, rodent models, and human cardiac tissue studies.
His work is supported by NIH funding. The laboratory maintains active research programs examining cardio-metabolic health intersections through biochemical, cellular, and physiological approaches.
