Esme Caramello is a Clinical Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, serving since 2014. She holds the role of Faculty Director of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau (HLAB) and focuses on housing law, legal ethics, racial justice, and access to civil justice. A Harvard Law School graduate (J.D., 1999) and Harvard-Radcliffe College alumna (B.A., 1994), her career includes roles as a litigation associate, legal fellow, and clinical instructor. She co-chaired the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission’s housing committee during the pandemic and contributed to Massachusetts’ eviction sealing law (2024). Her advocacy spans tenant rights, anti-discrimination, and systemic inequality reduction.
