Eros Pasero

Eros G. Pasero is a Professor of Electronics at Politecnico di Torino since 1991, with prior appointments at the University of Roma (Electronics Engineering) and visiting roles at UC Berkeley (ICSI, 1991), Tongji University (Shanghai, 2011/2015/2017), and Turin Tashkent Politechnic University (Tashkent, 2012-2014), where he also served as vice rector in 2014.

Research Focus: Established the Neuronica Lab (1990) to explore hardware/software neurons and synapses, develop wired/wireless sensors for biomedical, environmental, and automotive applications, and apply artificial neural networks for sensor data processing. His work spans neural network architectures, sensor systems, and computational intelligence.

Scientific Achievements:

• Supervisor of >100 Ph.D/Master students
• 6 international patents (including first European silicon neurons/synapses with Texas Instruments)
• Leadership roles: President of SIREN (Italian Society for Neural Networks), Chairman of IJCNN2000, SIRWEC2006, WIRN2015-2019 conferences
