Alyosha Christopher Molnar is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University, where he has been since 2007. His interdisciplinary research spans integrated circuits, biomedical imaging, and neurobiology. He earned a B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College (1997), followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (2003) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (2007) from UC Berkeley, with doctoral work focusing on retinal neuronal circuits.
Research Interests:
- Ultraflexible radios using passive mixer architectures
- Angle-sensitive pixels for 3D and lensless imaging
- Basis pursuit algorithms for lensless signal processing
- Neural instrumentation and theoretical frameworks for neuronal network analysis
- Semiconductor devices for biomedical and computational applications
Scientific Contributions: His publications highlight innovations in CMOS sensors, dual imaging systems, and RF transceiver designs, with applications in biomedical imaging, computational photography, and neurobiology.
