Dr. Erin Soucy serves as Dean of the Nursing, Allied Health, & Behavioral Science Division, Assistant Professor of Nursing, and Nursing Unit Chair at the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK). She holds a BSN (1995, UMFK), MSN (2004, Saint Joseph’s College of Maine), and PhD in Education (2011, Northcentral University). Since 1998, she has worked at UMFK, progressing from Nursing Resource Center Manager to faculty (2004), Nursing Program Director (2006), and Dean (2018).
Research & Leadership: Her roles include board memberships at Northern Maine Medical Center (Quality Improvement Committee), Northern Light Health (corporator), and statewide nursing education committee (MeNEC). She also advises Eastern and Northern Maine Community Colleges.
Awards & Recognition:
- UMFK Outstanding Young Alumna (2007)
- UMFK Outstanding Faculty of the Year (2014)
- UMFK Outstanding Nursing Alumna (2015)
Teaching Focus: Specializes in adult health, obstetrics, and pediatrics. Committed to advancing nursing education and healthcare quality improvement.
