Dr. Erin Jensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Belmont Abbey College, specializing in Rhetoric and Composition Studies, Social Media Writing, and Technical and Professional Writing. She holds a Ph.D. in Education, Culture, and Society/Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Utah, along with an M.Ed. and B.A. from the same institution. Her teaching spans courses like Rhetoric I/II, Communications Essentials, and Professional and Technical Writing.
Her research focuses on multilingual learners, pedagogical innovations, and student experiences in higher education. She has co-authored studies on student-athlete research engagement, AI in writing assignments, and memes as pedagogical tools. Her work explores how digital platforms like Instagram and Twitter enhance student learning, particularly in literature and writing courses.
Jensen’s publications often address writing center practices, online learning strategies, and the integration of technology in education.
