Erin Green is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Her research focuses on epigenetic regulation mediated by post-translational modifications of histones, particularly lysine methylation, and its role in cellular stress responses and chromatin structure. She uses the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system, integrating molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, genomics, and proteomics to explore how these modifications control gene expression and genome integrity.
