Dr. Erin Godecke is an Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow in Speech Pathology at Edith Cowan University (ECU), specializing in aphasia recovery and stroke rehabilitation. She leads the Very Early Rehabilitation in Speech (VERSE) trial, Australia’s largest aphasia rehabilitation trial, and serves as Clinical Director. Her work focuses on very early post-stroke aphasia intervention, stroke care quality improvement, and impairment-based therapy. She has held leadership roles in national stroke initiatives and is a member of the European Union’s Aphasia Trialists (CATs) committee.
