Erin E. Templeton is the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and a Professor of English at Converse University. Dr. Templeton specializes in transatlantic modernism, gender dynamics in early twentieth-century authorship, and textual studies. She teaches courses on twentieth-century poetry, F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald, the 20th-century American novel, Contemporary American fiction, and the English department senior seminar. Her work includes editing Zelda Fitzgerald’s novel Save Me the Waltz (Handheld Press) and contributing to the Modernism/modernity PrintPlus cluster on Reading The Waste Land with the #MeToo Generation. She has also published essays on William Carlos Williams, Ezra Pound, and George Antheil, and contributed entries to the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism.
She actively engages students through study-abroad trips to countries like Costa Rica, Cuba, England, France, and Ireland. Beyond academia, she enjoys crime fiction, running, walking her dog, and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
