Erin Carignan is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Colorado State University (CSU), affiliated with the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance within the College of Liberal Arts. Her role includes teaching and research in costume design and textile artistry. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from San Diego State University.
Her research focuses on innovative uses of textiles, dyeing techniques, and wearable art in entertainment, documented in her upcoming book Dyeing for Entertainment (2024). Professional experience includes over 130 productions with institutions like the Old Globe Theatre and La Jolla Playhouse.
Carignan serves as Vice Chair of KCACTF Design Technology Management Region 7 and is active in organizations like USITT and The Costume Society of America. Her office is located at UCA 216 with regular hours.
