Erin C. Raney, Pharm.D., BCPS is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. She has served on the faculty since 2001 after previously working as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy from 1998-2001.
Dr. Raney received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona in 1996 and completed pharmacy practice and ambulatory care specialty residencies at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia from 1996-1998.
Her research focuses on continuous professional development strategies for students and practicing pharmacists, with clinical expertise in endocrinology and women's health. Her teaching interests include chronic disease state management, clinical reasoning, and specialized modules in diabetes, women's health, pulmonary medicine, and cardiology. Dr. Raney has developed significant expertise in preceptor development, emotional intelligence in student pharmacists, and leadership development.
