Dr. Kellie J. Goodlet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University's College of Pharmacy on the Glendale Campus. She holds dual board certifications as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP), with additional certification as a Board Certified Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacist since 2023.
Dr. Goodlet earned her Pharm.D. and B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Arizona, followed by PGY1 and PGY2 residencies in pharmacy and infectious diseases at Hartford Hospital. Her educational background forms the foundation of her expertise in antimicrobial therapy and infectious diseases management.
Her research program focuses on optimizing antimicrobial therapies in clinical practice, with particular emphasis on antimicrobial stewardship principles, infection management in immunocompromised patients (especially solid organ transplant recipients), multi-drug resistance challenges, and rational assessment of antimicrobial safety profiles. Dr. Goodlet actively collaborates with colleagues at Midwestern University and St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.
Her publication record demonstrates consistent scholarly output with a clear focus on infectious diseases in transplant patients, antimicrobial optimization strategies, and clinical pharmacy practice. Recent publications (2022-2025) show increasing emphasis on translational research with direct clinical applications, particularly in fungal prophylaxis for transplant recipients, antimicrobial stewardship interventions, and novel approaches to treating multi-drug resistant infections.
