Prof. Erika von Mutius is a leading pediatric allergist and epidemiologist at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) and Helmholtz Munich. She serves as Director of the Institute of Asthma and Allergy Prevention (since 2017) and Head of the Department 'Environmental Health Center' (since 2021). Her research focuses on environmental and genetic factors in childhood asthma/allergies, particularly the 'farm effect' and microbiome influences.
