Erika Sabbath, ScD, is an Associate Professor at Boston College, specializing in Health and Mental Health. She is Co-Director and Multi-PI of the Harvard Center for Work, Health, and Wellbeing, and leads the NIOSH-funded Boston Hospital Workers Health Study (BHWHS). Her research focuses on workplace stress, occupational health policy impacts, and healthcare provider wellbeing. Dr. Sabbath holds degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, Harvard University, and Université Paris XI-Sud.

Research Interests: Dr. Sabbath examines how organizational policies, public health policies, and workplace stressors affect healthcare workers and helping professionals. Her current projects include the Study of OB-GYNs in Post-Roe America and the BHWHS, which tracks over 27,000 hospital workers. She investigates moral distress among OB-GYNs, workplace unfair treatment’s link to injuries, and strategies to engage low-wage workers in health research.
