Erika Janssen

Dr. Erika Janssen is Assistant Professor at UW Oshkosh College of Nursing with a PhD in Nursing from UW Milwaukee (2023). Her academic trajectory includes an MS in Nursing Education (UW Oshkosh, 2014), BSN (UW Oshkosh, 2010), and ADN (Fox Valley Technical College, 2006).

Research focuses on:

• Accelerated nursing education pathways
• Maternal-infant health outcomes
• Healthcare disparities in vulnerable populations
• Clinical competency development

She has presented nationally on gestational weight variations, LGBTQ+ healthcare training, and perinatal data systems. Recognitions include Instructional Academic Staff Award (2018), UWO Doctoral Award (2017), and WNA Best Research Poster (2013).
