Erika Boysen is an Associate Professor of Flute at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG), School of Music. Previously, she served as faculty at Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Arts Camp, Northwestern Michigan College, and the Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts. Her research focuses on cross-disciplinary collaboration in the arts, emphasizing integration of movement, singing, and acting into music education and performance.

Performance and Collaboration: She performs with the UNCG East Wind Quintet, Seen/Heard Trio, COLLAPSS Ensemble, and Shara Nova’s My Brightest Diamond band. Her work champions music by living composers, blending classical and contemporary styles. She has toured in the U.S. and Europe, participated in festivals like ArtX Detroit and Culture Lab, and released a solo album Reimagining the Album featuring commissioned works.
Publications and Presentations: Published in Flute Talk Magazine and Physics Education Journal, and presented at conferences including the North Carolina Music Educators Association Conference and Wild Acres Flute Retreat.
Orchestral Experience: Held fellowships at Aspen Music Festival, Texas Music Festival, and Brevard Music Festival, collaborating with conductors such as Christian Arming and David Robertson.
