Dr. Erik Knudsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Media Studies, University of Bergen, specializing in media use and audience research. He leads the NEWSREC project on news recommenders' democratic impact and co-leads a work package at the MediaFutures Research Centre. His research focuses on quantitative audience analysis, media polarization, and trust in journalism.
