Erik Hefti

Erik Hefti is an Assistant Professor and Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical Sciences graduate program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. As a licensed pharmacist in New York and Pennsylvania, he combines clinical practice experience in inpatient settings and telehealth with academic leadership. He teaches courses such as Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics, emphasizing translational research in pediatric pharmacogenomics, telehealth outcomes, and pharmacotherapy optimization for genetic disorders.

He also investigates pharmacotherapeutic applications of green tea and pharmacist roles in medical science liaison roles.

Dr. Hefti has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed articles since 2016, focusing on topics ranging from opioid alternatives to pharmacogenetic testing. His work bridges clinical practice and academic innovation, with a particular emphasis on underserved populations and emerging technologies in pharmacy.
