Ericka Boudreau

Ericka Boudreau is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EEAS) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, within the Kennedy College of Sciences. She holds an M.S. (2022) and B.S. (2020) in Environmental Geoscience from UMass Lowell. Her research focuses on geochemistry, geochronology, and provenance studies, particularly involving detrital minerals like monazite, zircon, titanite, garnet, and rutile. She uses isotopic analyses (Nd, Hf, Pb) to trace tectonic and depositional processes, including terrane translation and accretionary events. Currently, her work involves detrital monazite in Idaho river sands and detrital feldspar Pb isotopes in Oregon sediments.

Ericka’s research is supported by the Geological Society of America’s Stephen G. Pollock Undergraduate Student Research Grant. She is a Ph.D. candidate under Dr. Richard Gaschnig. Beyond academia, she is a first-generation college student and dedicates time to outdoor activities with her family, including camping, hiking, and gardening.
