Erick Burdock is an Instructor in the Department of English at the University of Missouri, affiliated with the College of Arts and Science. His research focuses on queer theory, gothic literature, and film adaptations, particularly exploring representations of queerness and asexuality in works like Alfred Hitchcock's films. He is also interested in dark humor, television sitcoms, and female stardom in Hollywood. Additionally, he designs multimodal courses analyzing female monsters in film and literature. His pedagogical work emphasizes innovative teaching methods.
