Erica Durian is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Pennsylvania State University, specializing in composition and rhetoric. She holds a MA in English Literature and Rhetoric/Composition from Northern Illinois University and a BA in Linguistics from The Ohio State University. Her teaching spans primary to college levels across four states, with a focus on Business Writing and Technical Writing at both University Park and World Campus.
Dr. Durian emphasizes inclusive pedagogy and continuous professional development, participating in the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence and World Campus Faculty Development. She is certified in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), holds a provost endorsement for inclusive teaching, and achieved Lion Leader status in the Teaching Online Program (TOP).
