معرفی
Erica Dhuey is a Research Fellow at Stanford University, affiliated with the Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine school and the Stem Cell Operations department. Her work focuses on stem cell biology, immunology, and aging.
- PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology (Cancer Biology), University of Pennsylvania (2022)
- B.S. in Molecular Biology, University of California - San Diego
Her research explores age-related changes in haematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and their impact on immune decline. She investigates strategies to rejuvenate aged immunity by targeting myeloid-biased HSCs.
Recent work highlights her contribution to a study published in Nature (2024), demonstrating that antibody-mediated depletion of myeloid-biased HSCs in aged mice restores youthful immune features, including increased lymphoid progenitors, naive T and B cells, and enhanced adaptive immune responses to viral infections.
- Learners to LeAders in Urology, Nephrology, and non-Cancer Hematology (LAUNCH) Fellow
- NIH/NIDDK NRSA (T32) Fellow
- NIH Predoctoral Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (F31)
- NIH/NCI Patel Scholar Award
- Sigma Xi Member
- Phi Beta Kappa Scholar
- National Merit Finalist
She is associated with the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI) and the Pediatric Nonmalignant Hematology and Stem Cell Biology Training Grant fellowship program at Stanford.
