Eric Wilkinson is a Research Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the University of British Columbia and previously served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds a PhD from McGill University and earned MAs in Political Science (York University) and Philosophy (University of Toronto). His research focuses on meta-ethics, normative ethics, political philosophy, and the history of philosophy, with notable work on Indigenous philosophy, multicultural nationhood, and logical rationalism. He is a Vanier Scholar and has contributed to debates on Canadian national identity, public policy, and the intersection of gender and historical philosophy. His teaching interests align with his research, emphasizing ethics, meta-ethics, and political philosophy.
