Eric Whitsell is a part-time Lecturer in the School of Management, People and Organisations at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), with a focus on people management subjects at the Tallaght campus. His career spans over three decades, including prior roles as an associate lecturer at Dublin City University (1991-1997) and associate professor at Trinity College Dublin (1997-2018). He has also taught international management at New Rochelle College, New York (1996).

He has contributed to professional standards through involvement with the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), co-developing new professional benchmarks launched in 2021.
Eric has extensive professional experience, including executive roles as Head of Personnel at Ernst & Young (1985-1992) and consulting work with The Reward Group and MERC partners, specializing in performance management systems, executive compensation, and organizational change. He also co-designed academic programs for Intel (Ireland) and University College Cork, reflecting his commitment to bridging industry and academia.
