Eric Tsang

Dr. Eric Tsang is the Dallas World Salute Distinguished Professor in Global Strategy and Professor of Strategy and International Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge (1997), an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1986), and degrees from Peking University and the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on organizational learning, foreign direct investment, strategic alliances, and methodological philosophy in management studies.

He serves on editorial boards of top journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, and Management and Organization Review. His recent work explores entrepreneurial opportunity theories, cronyism in networks, and the philosophical foundations of management research. He has published extensively on topics like knowledge transfer in multinational enterprises and the impact of CEO backgrounds on corporate performance.

Notable awards include his endowed chair, and his research has been featured in studies redefining entrepreneurship theory and analyzing retail innovation dynamics. He maintains active roles as an editor, reviewer, and thought leader in global management academia.
