معرفی
Dr. Eric Stinaff is Professor and Chair of the Physics & Astronomy Department at Ohio University's College of Arts & Sciences where he leads the Nanophotonics & Spectroscopy Group. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, investigating optical/electronic properties of semiconductor nanomaterials for applications in quantum information processing, single-photon sources, and novel detectors. He holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University (2002).
Research interests span:
- Quantum dot molecules and nanostructure coupling
- 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (MoS₂, WS₂)
- Nanoscale quantum phenomena
- Optoelectronic device fabrication
- Ultrafast spectroscopy of nanomaterials
Dr. Stinaff actively mentors graduate and undergraduate researchers in his laboratory, with alumni now holding positions at universities and research institutions worldwide. His recent publications demonstrate extensive work on CVD growth of 2D materials, quantum dot spectroscopy, and nanoscale device engineering.
